The Juggling Act: Priorities and a Struggle for Balance

In this huge world, it's easy to get trapped in a never-ending loop of to-dos and responsibilities. We get entangled with priorities, sometimes wondering how to prioritize them. We feel trapped, stuck, and want to find a way to do better.

On top of that, our health suffers. We neglect prioritizing self-care. Workouts get pushed to another day. Fast food becomes a convenient solution. We foster the habit of not eating on time, don't have time to cook or prep – the list goes on. Our health pays the price: overweight, stressed, and just surviving.

 

What If There Was a Solution?

What if you had a solution that fits your busy lifestyle? What if it gently reminded you of what's important? What if you took just a few minutes to reflect? What if you had a coach in your pocket?

 

A Time of Immense Challenge: My 2020

Back in 2020, I had one of the most difficult times of my life. COVID, personal life transitions that affected my relationships with my children, going into coaching full-time, and urgently needing to live independently. Even though I wouldn't recommend transitioning in so many important areas of life at once, that was my journey.

Finding Strength Through Routine

In that journey, I didn't go mentally crazy. I didn't use depression or anxiety medication, and I didn't comfort myself with food (well, maybe a little bit ). Through those hard days, I knew my daily routine, stuck with it, and kept going. Day by day, I knew what I was living for, and I kept laser-focused vision.

I am now a full-time coach with a promising growing business. I have built strong, deep bonds with my children that I never had before. I'm even doing better with my food choices, drinking plenty of water, moving my body, and feel free and confident! I'm excited for what's to come! I love my vision. I love my life. More yet to create!

The Secret to My Peaceful Transitions

How did I go through transition with peace and power? Well, I have to admit, at times – most of the time, it didn't feel peaceful and powerful. Yes, many nights were filled with tears and mental harshness. BUT, I had this routine that I never deviated from, no matter how "bad" the days were.

Here's what the routine was:

Morning:

  • What I am thankful for
  • 3 things I am excited about
  • What challenge might I encounter?
  • How would my best self handle it?
  • "I am" statement

Evening:

  • What went well?
  • What didn't go so well?
  • What was the gift or opportunity?
  • What are three things I will focus on tomorrow?

Weekend:

  • Reflect and analyze my week. Assess how I did with my main goal for that week and how I took care of my body.

 

The Magic of Self-Coaching

What happened is that I was basically coaching myself to take care of myself while going through a transition. And the magic it does is that it helps you go through transition with owning your power. Why? Because at the same time, you take care of yourself. And that's what prioritizing self-care is. That's all my friends. Do yourself first. And then taking care of building your life comes smoother and with more clarity and laser focus.

The Power of Nighttime Reflection: A Bonus

Here's another bonus from this transition: most nights, I slept like a baby. Of course, I did my exercise, meditation, and breathing. But what I also know is that those questions helped me release my day, reflect, reset, plan for the next day, which simply helped me go to bed empty-minded. That, in turn, helped me fall asleep faster, sleep like a baby, and wake up clear, rested, and ready to go.
