Thinking of Wellness in a New Light

Today's message takes a slightly different spin on wellness. Our well-being is deeply connected to the health of our planet. After all, our planet is our home, and a healthy home is essential for a healthy us!

Fun Tips for a Clean and Happy Home Environment

Here are some fun tips to keep your home environment clean and positive, inspired by a conversation with my friend and local realtor, Rockie Marvel.

Air:

  • Breathe Easy: Swap harsh cleaners for non-toxic options to avoid harmful fumes. 
  • Natural Air Purifiers: Consider houseplants like snake plants or peace lilies to improve air quality and add beauty. Benefits: fresh air, reduced allergies, and increased energy. 
  • Embrace Sunlight: Open curtains and blinds during the day for natural light, which can boost mood and energy levels. 

Food:

  • Pure Hydration: Invest in a water filter or pitcher to ensure clean, refreshing drinking water. 
  • Pantry Power: Organize your pantry and remove unhealthy snacks. Out of sight, out of mind! 
  • Fridge Freshness: Organize your refrigerator to prevent food waste and make healthy options easily accessible. Plan your meals and shop for only what you'll need for the week. 

Space:

  • Shift Your Space: Occasionally rearrange furniture to refresh the feel of your space and see it in a new light. It can also help identify items that need replacing. 
  • Cleanliness is Key: Regularly remove dust and mold to reduce allergens and create a healthier environment. Cleaning can also be a form of clearing out negativity. 
  • Designated Zones: Create designated areas for different activities – kitchen for cooking, bedroom for sleeping, and a dedicated workspace. This helps with focus and promotes restful sleep. The brain thrives on routine. 

Emotional Well-being:

  • Leave Work at Work: Create a clear boundary between work and home. Before entering, take a few deep breaths and set the intention for relaxation and positive vibes. This fosters a loving and supportive home environment.  

 

These tips can significantly contribute to your well-being in your own personal sanctuary. Remember, you have the power to create your environment, and therefore, your life.
