Why I skipped my walk this morning

​The Story Behind the Mission
​If my life were a novel, this chapter would be called "The Full Circle."
​Most of you know me as a coach who lives and breathes The Wellness Vortex Habit Change Model, but it wasn’t always this way. If you traveled back to my school days, you wouldn’t find a fitness pro. You would find the girl who was the slowest in gym class. I couldn't catch a ball, I struggled with the most basic movements, and I genuinely hated PE. I felt disconnected from my own body. ​But even then, my heart was being prepared for something else.
​At 17, my very first jobs were working with children with special needs. 🧸 I learned early on that strength isn't just about muscles—it’s about the spirit of those fighting battles most of us can’t imagine. I saw a resilience in those children that stayed with me for decades.
​The Evolution
​My path to wellness was "the hard way." It was a journey of frustration, chiropractor visits, and eventually finding my home in the Shaklee community. I had to learn proper form, functional fitness (check out my fitness routine), and—most importantly—how to clean up my internal environment through Life Principle Number 1: Self-Care is Non-Negotiable, Methods Are Flexible.
​Today, at 47, I am in better shape than I was at 20. I’ve turned my fitness journey struggle into a business that helps others take care of their body, mind, and soul at any age.
