​The Cashier and the Credit Card Story
​This past week, I went to the store. I had allocated 10% of what I earned that day to buy a few pieces of clothes and a new set of dumbbells. In front of me, a couple was opening a credit card just to save $30 on a $500 treadmill.
​When it was my turn, the cashier asked if I wanted to open a card, too. My response was simple: "I buy on cash." The silence that followed made me think about Life Principle Number 10: How we do one thing is how we do everything.
​Whether it is literally true in every transaction isn't the point—it's about how we function in life.
​Are You Functioning on Credit?
​It made me wonder: How many of us are living our wellness on "credit"?
- ​The Sleep Debt: Skipping sleep now, hoping to pay it back later.
- ​The Movement Loan: Waiting for a "better time" to move, while energy stays stagnant.
- ​The Food Credit: Eating "comfort foods" (which are often actually discomfort foods) for a quick dopamine spike, not realizing it creates a long-term debt of inflammation and fatigue.
​When we live on credit, we borrow from our future selves. When we live on "cash"—being conscious of our sleep, our 80/20 nutrition, and our daily movement—we function from a place of true abundance.
​Unlocking Stagnant Energy
​I felt it myself this morning. I felt heavy and stagnant until I started a session with a client. As soon as I moved, my energy opened, my mood shifted, and the "stuckness" vanished. Stagnant energy isn’t just in your muscles; it’s in your finances, your relationships, and your mindset.
​We aim to loosen that energy by at least 80% every single day through our Non-Negotiable Habits, such as:
