Is your happiness empty? š

I was out on my walk today, reflecting on the season. My kids are home, college plans are being set, and my birthday (June 11th) just happened!
Itās a season of expansion, but in the quiet moments, Iāve been wrestling with a concept that feels both awkward and essential:
Unconditional Self-Love.
We are so used to "doing." If you ask most people, "How do you know you love yourself?" they will give you a list of actionsāself-care rituals, appointments, habits. Years ago, a coach asked me that same question, and I rattled off a list of things I do. It took me years to realize that she wasnāt asking for a to-do list.
She was asking about the silence.
I want to talk to you about "Empty Happiness."
It sounds like a paradox, doesn't it? We are conditioned to fill our lives with noise, connection, and distraction. But "Empty Happiness" is the ability to stand in the middle of your own lifeāeven when it feels like a crowded airportāand be completely, peacefully alone with your own soul.
It is the courage to sit in the stillness and feel a love so pure it makes you cry. Itās not an external "high" from an achievement; itās the internal capacity to hold space for the little one inside you.
This week,
Iām inviting you to stop trying to "fill" the silence and start learning to inhabit it. When you can be happy by yourself, you stop looking for others to complete your frequency. You stop the "anxious attachment" to the world and start living from your own center.
We are practicing three non-negotiables in the Academy to build this capacity:

Intentional Breathing: When the world gets loud, your breath is the anchor. It is the bridge between your racing thoughts and your physical body.

The Sleep Transition: We are using rest not just to recover, but to reset the nervous system so we can wake up in a state of peace rather than reaction.

Affirming the "Already Good": We are shifting from seeking what we lack to affirming the abundance that is already present.
It is deep work. It takes years, sometimes decades, to truly master the art of being your own best company. But the moment you experience that glimpse of "Empty Happiness"āwhere you are perfectly at peace in your own presenceāyou will realize it is worth every struggle.
