Rediscover Yourself through Food
Happy Sunday.
We just wrapped up an absolutely outstanding monthly deep-dive training inside the Academy, diving into a question that drives so many people crazy:

Oh my gosh, it was a whirlwind. We literally covered 100 different diets in 10 minutes, decoded foundational nutrition 101, mapped out how to plan and budget weekly and daily meals, and even broke down the exact math for those who love calculating numbers. We used the training to grade whatever diet you are currently on, filtering everything through the 10 Dietary Paradigms.
But as I sat down this morning to reflect on the energy in the room, I want to invite you into a deeper reflection on two specific paradigms that shook the room and had the absolute biggest impact on our members.
They hit hard because they require us to look past the plate and look directly into the mirror.
Paradigm #8: Your RELATIONSHIP with food and your body impacts your health more powerfully than the food you eat.
Paradigm #9: Every symptom, craving, or behavior around food has a positive intention.
Therefore, your cravings and behaviors are not "the problem"—they are simply the best solution your subconscious has come up with so far.
Think about that for a second. If you find yourself reaching for something sweet late at night, or emotional eating after a stressful day, that behavior isn't a sign that you are broken or lacking willpower. Last month, we spent a lot of time talking about honoring your inner child—that little one within you who is simply looking for safety, comfort, or love. That craving has a positive intention. It’s just the best way you’ve found so far to cope.
But here is the deeper layer, and it ties directly into Principle #10 of the Wellness Vortex Habit Change Model:
How we do one thing is how we do everything.
You see, through my years of experience—and yes, my background includes a major in psychology, alongside being a certified health coach, nutrition coach, and fitness trainer—I can tell you with absolute certainty:
What you eat only accounts for about 5% to 20% of the effect on your transformation. Who you are being makes up the rest.
Your relationship with food is a mirror reflecting your relationship with yourself, your boundaries, your stress, and your life. We constantly look at food like it's something we have to change.
IF YOU WANT TO CHANGE WHAT YOU EAT, YOU HAVE TO CHANGE HOW YOU RELATE TO YOURSELF.
Boom. Mic drop.
Your 3-Step Sunday Action Plan: Why, How, then What
If you are asking, "Nadya, where do I actually start?" we are going to approach this in a precise sequence. Not by changing the food first, but by changing your state of being.
Step 1: The Mirror (Your Relationship with Self — The "WHY")
This is not an easy exercise. Go stand in front of a mirror, look deeply into your own eyes, and repeat out loud 10 times: "I love you." Then, just listen. Expect crying. Expect resistance. That is completely normal. If you commit to repeating this just twice every single day, it will become easier. This is literally you reprogramming your relationship with yourself.
Step 2: Fooditation (Your Relationship with Food — The "HOW")
Let's just all slow down. Before you focus on what you are eating, we must focus on who is eating, and then how we are eating. I want you to practice Fooditation. Even if it is just taking one deep breath before your first bite, or spending the first three minutes of your meal doing nothing but chewing and focusing entirely on the food. It is one of the single best next steps to transform your relationship with food.
Step 3: The 80/20 Rule (The Food — The "WHAT")
Only after we align the Why and the How do we start focusing on the What. This is where we bring in our 80/20 lifestyle baseline. Because you cannot successfully fix the "what" until you have anchored yourself in a grounded, loving relationship with who you are being.
